Hideaway Cottage is a mid-19^th Century Lakeland cottage that has been lovingly restored. It is situated on a quiet side street in the heart of the village. The cottage retains many original features such as a feature Lakeland stone fireplace, exposed beams, original doors and wooden floorboards. This coupled with the modern essentials make this cottage the ideal luxury hideaway for the more discerning couple.

The Lounge diner is a spacious room with. Full of character made extra cosy by a feature slate wall housing a cast iron multifuel stove. A twin sofa and armchair flank the fire and with Freeview TV, DVD and CD system and complementary WiFi. You won’t be able to stop yourself curling up and relaxing. A farmhouse dining table and chairs make this room the heart of the cottage.

The kitchen is fitted to a very high standard with slate flooring, oak cupboards and Neff appliances. A door leads to the outside shared garden area.

Upstairs there is a large double bedroom with superking bed (this can be made into twin beds if preferred). The bed is dressed with Egyptian cotton linen with goosedown duvet and pillows. The room retains its character with original wooden flooring and a feature (not in use) fireplace.

The bathroom is tilled in travertine and is a light spacious room comprising P shaped bath with electric shower over, WC hand basin and heated towel rail. Fluffy towels are provided.

The cottage is perfect for couples who want to enjoy a luxury base any time of year in this beautiful part of the Lakes.

On street parking is available around the corner from the cottage.

We are very happy welcome dogs in both our cottages for a charge of £15 per dog. We do ask though, that dogs are not left in the cottage alone and that they are never left unattended in the communal area outside the rear door of the cottage. There are a host of both short and more strenuous walks straight from the doorstep which we are more than happy to advise on.

Non pet owners should not be worried that we do allow dogs to stay in out cottages as we can assure you extra time is taken to remove all evidence of any pet that has been lucky enough stay with us.
